Centaurus Financial Donates $20,000 to Johnny Miller Champ Foundation

Centaurus Financial, Inc., an independent broker/dealer  based in Anaheim, California, donated $20,000 to a group that helps young people realize their dreams.

The Johnny Miller Champ Foundation’s annual Golf & Food Event, held this year on November 18 in Northern California, provides scholarships to help school-age children who otherwise couldn’t afford to participate in golfing and golf instruction to do so.

The event included a golf clinic with Miller, an 18-hole golf tournament at the Silverado North Course at Silverado Resort in Napa, and a dinner at world-renowned chef Thomas Keller’s restaurant Ad Hoc.

“Johnny Miller’s Champ Foundation supports the next generation of golfers,” said David Fujita, Centaurus’s Chief Marketing Officer and a Senior Vice President with the firm. “By investing in young people, they’re looking to grow the game, it’s true. But they are getting youths involved in something that they wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to participate in.”

Miller created the Johnny Miller Jr. Golf Foundation in 1993 to promote junior golf. He changed the name to the Champ Foundation in 2015 to honor his father’s “legacy of creating champions.”
